Shane was born and raised in Maraenui, Napier until the age of 8, then moved to Auckland. He started his martial arts training with wrestling at age 13, then discovered MMA at the age of 15.
Since then, he has racked up 4 Kickboxing wins (1ko), 3 boxing wins (1ko), and 16 total MMA bouts (10 professional, 3 sub/6ko) with 14 wins and 2 losses, one of which was redeemed via headkick and punches. Shane has also picked up the XFC Australia Featherweight Championship Belt.
Outside of MMA, Shane is currently training to become a builer and was previously a qualified personal trainer - although he has the ultimate goal of becoming a Professional Athlete for the UFC.
